Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Optum Live and Work Well Program
As an employee, you are our most important resource, and the University of Missouri cares about your personal and professional well-being.
The Employee Assistance Program is available to all faculty, staff and household members. The UM System’s Total Rewards and UMKC Human Resources departments have partnered with Optum’s Live and Work Well EAP program to provide this service to you for free. Providers are able to help with issues related to family or relationship difficulties, stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse problems, work concerns and financial problems. Employee’s also receive access to a wide range of resources regarding the work and life topics of interest to you and your family.
Employees are eligible for up to for up to 3 no-cost, in-network counseling visits for any personal issue. If you need more sessions, you can work with your provider to discuss options for care beyond the EAP offered sessions.
Please visit the UM System website for more information related to professional care, self-help programs, and resources specific to your needs.
