Welcome to the University of Missouri – Kansas City Fraternity and Sorority Affairs

UMKC’s fraternities and sororities make an important contribution to life on campus by providing leadership opportunities, lifelong friendships, academic support, community service opportunities, and so much more!

Since the first Greek-letter society was formed in 1776 at the College of William and Mary, sororities and fraternities have played a vibrant part of campus life. Students who choose to become part of a social fraternities and sororities have the opportunity to be part of a well-rounded, co-curricular experience.

There are several ways you can learn about all of the fraternities and sororities at UMKC.

You can come out to Late Night with the Greeks on August 18th at 8pm at Durwood Stadium. This fun and free event is open to the entire campus as a kick off to a great weekend and new school year. Enjoy activities like riding a mechanical bull, or dunk-an-RA. You can joust with a new friend or enjoy the live DJ! Also, stop by the Office of Student Involvement’s front desk during UnionFest on Sunday, August 20th. Council leadership will be there to answer your questions about joining our community. Some individual chapters will also be participating for you talk with as well!

Panhellenic Sorority Formal Recruitment starts with orientations on Tuesday, August 22nd and Wednesday, August 23rd at 7pm in Student Union room 401. Register for CPC recruitment here
