Virtual History Tour

Details:Since its founding in 1929 and start of classes in 1933, the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) has been on a mission to serve the people of Kansas City. Along the way we have grown from a small private liberal arts college with 266 students to a comprehensive public research university with over 15,000. The unique events of our history have shaped us and made us into what we are today. The story of our past is all around UMKC’s Volker Campus in the buildings, monuments and named places that help us to remember our legacy. These videos will help to give a little background to UMKC’s history and help you to see the Volker Campus in a new light. Once you know the history behind it, you’ll never be able to look at it the same way again.
