School of Law Director of Admissions staff member Lydia Dagenais has worked at the University since August 2013 and is this month’s High Five grand prize winner. Read on to get to know her, then why not give her a high five in person next time you see her?
Congrats on your big win!
What’s your favorite vacation spot? My mother is from Hilo, Hawaii, so I have been visiting family there regularly my whole life and it is my favorite place to go back to.
How do you spend your free time? I have a toddler, so most of my free time is spent doing things like going to the zoo, visiting parks, and generally finding ways for my son to expel energy.
Do you have a favorite meal to make or eat? Pancakes! Easy to make, and everyone loves pancakes.
What is your favorite thing about working at UMKC? I work in admissions, so one of the things I especially enjoy is walking through the halls of the Law School and seeing all of the students I worked with during their admissions process and keeping up with their progress. It’s very rewarding to know I played a role in their coming to UMKC and the start of their legal careers.
