This program is FREE, but registration is required.

Mantillas y Rebozos: Hispanic Women’s Views on Sexuality is designed to encourage participants to look beyond their preconceived notions when considering Hispanic women’s views on sexuality. The program is evocative, anthropologic and geo-political. Linda Dominguez incorporates art and poetry in her discussion of the factors that have helped to shape Hispanic women’s views toward sexuality including history, culture, and religion.

Linda Dominguez, RN-C, NP

Linda is a nurse practitioner in the private gynecology practice at Southwest Women’s Health in Albuquerque. In the past she was the Assistant Medical Director at Planned Parenthood of New Mexico for over 19 years.  She has served as an officer of the following national organizations:

  • Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP), Chair
  • Alan Guttmacher Institute, 2nd Vice-Chair
  • National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Reproductive Health (NPWH), Past Chair
  • National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association (NFPRHA), Board Member

Linda speaks nationally on women’s health topics as well as minority issues in healthcare. She is currently featured on the online “Sex and a Healthier You” consumer education website. Linda understands how powerful the arena of health, nursing and medicine can be for the community. She strives to help the individual to understand how profound changes can occur when they recognize in themselves the potential for wellness.
