Head Coach Christi Posey’s team ended the regular season with an overall record of 24-5, 12-2. Saturday’s match also served as senior day, with Melisa Hartsel and Morgan Voorhes honored prior to the match.
Hartsel led the way for Kansas City, tallying 13 kills and hitting .556, with a career-high and WAC season-high 12 blocks, which meant her first career double-double.

UMKC kept the ball rolling in the second set. They took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break with a 25-20 win over the visitors, who gave the ’Roos a hard time to get back on track from a 4-2 lead. Back-to-back aces from Skyler Muff and two Hartsel kills ended the set.
Two points away from sweeping, the Aggies came from behind to take the third set 25-23 and disappoint the ’Roos. However, Kansas City regained the momentum and won the match with a spirited 25-12 victory in set four.
Leading UMKC was Jessica Hendin with 15 kills and 13 digs for her team-leading 12th double-double of the season. Muff netted a season-high 10 of Kansas City’s 18 blocks.
