The tea on the top five boba places in Kansas City

Bubble tea, also known as “Boba,” is a popular Taiwanese drink due to its many possible flavors and the unique tapioca pearls at the bottom. It is a drink that can be enjoyed by many, especially at these various Kansas City locations.

1. Gocha 2
4111 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111
Open daily, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Gocha 2 is a nice, little gem that recently opened in Westport. It’s perfect for students as it’s only seven minutes from campus and offers student discounts. The flavor selection is vast for those who like to be adventurous with their taste buds. If you want a place to study, stop by and take advantage of this quiet place with plenty of space and outlets. And, strangely enough, they have ukuleles free for public use in case you want to strum your stress away.

2. Bambu Desserts & Drinks (BAMBU)
3920 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66103
Open daily, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

If you have a sick loved one staying over at KU Medical Center, why not make their day with a delicious drink? BAMBU is a small, cute place across the street that has so much to choose from besides their delicious drinks. They offer crepes, mochi ice cream and sandwiches to enjoy. It’s a relaxing place to hang with friends while watching movies on their center TV.

3. Dragonfly Tea Zone
409 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64105
Weekdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Weekends, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This spot is perfect for frequent visitors of the River Market and its nearby residents. Besides boba, they also offer macarons and crepes that are a perfect snack to pair with their drinks. Their menu has a large selection of drinks to choose from, including a decent selection of loose tea leaves for avid tea drinkers.

4. Boba Blend
4305 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102
Monday-Saturday (closed Tuesdays), 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Sundays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

If you want to support a local business, hit up Boba Blend inside of Viva Fashion Mart. Along with their regular flavors are unique creations for those that want to try something new. Although they already offer their drinks at a great price, there are weekly specials for those wanting to save a buck for their next trip back.

5. Boh Buh KC
306 W 47th St, Kansas City, MO 64112
Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, 12-6 p.m.

Within the Made In KC Marketplace at the Plaza is a small boba stand for those craving it. While their boba selection is small and nothing fancy, it’s perfect for first-timers that want to try it out (if you don’t mind the time it takes to find a parking spot, that is).
