U.S. Bank opened a full-service branch on campus Sept. 19.
A full-service branch is defined as a bank that offers loans, checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards and multiple tellers.
The school signed an agreement with U.S. Bank earlier this year to set up shop in room 212 of the Student Union.
The branch is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Student checking includes no minimum balance requirement or monthly maintenance fees. It also includes four free non-U.S. Bank ATM transactions per month.
SNL Financial released a list in March that ranked the bank No. 6 in the country, according to total assets, with $204 billion in total deposits.
With annual revenue above $20 billion, the bank is also ranked No. 126 in the 2011 list of top Fortune 500 companies.
It currently operates in 25 states.
UMKC joins a list of 24 other universities that already house an on-campus U.S. Bank branch, including the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Missouri- St. Louis.
It joined 45 other universities earlier in the semester by offering a combined campus ID and U.S. Bank ATM card that allows U.S. Bank account holders to link their cards with checking accounts.
