After splitting home games with a victory over North Dakota State and a defeat to South Dakota State, the men’s basketball team is in a three-way tie with IPFW and South Dakota for the eighth and last berth in the Summit League post-season tournament.

On Saturday night, the Roos (10-17, 4-11 in Summit League play) were outclassed by the 2nd place Jackrabbits. Senior Reggie Chamberlain led the Roos with 17 points, while sophomore Trinity Hall tallied 14 and sophomore Nate Rogers tallied 12.
The Roos led 17-8 before guard Nate Wolters, who scored 20 points on the night, began pushing the visitors to a 41-29 halftime lead. The Jackrabbits led by as much as 21 points in the second half.
UMKC 72 North Dakota State 61
On Thursday night, the Swinney crowd cheered the Roos over the third-place Bison. Chamberlain scored 27 points while sophomore Kirk Korver added 11.
The Roos led from start to finish and jumped up to a 12-point lead midway through the first half and took a commanding 39-23 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Roos extended their lead to 52-41. For the night, they made a dozen three-pointers and with a comfortable lead cleared their bench.
The Roos will now travel to Macomb, Ill., to face Western Illinois on Feb. 15 in their final road game of the conference season.
