Men’s tennis loses 4-3 against Bradley

The men’s tennis team lost 4-3 to Bradley on Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center. The Roos’ fell to 4-15.

In doubles play, juniors Grant Fleming and Tim Akhmedov won 8-1 victory. At the No.2 spot, senior Gustavo and junior Abdulrahman Alawadhi lost a tie-breaker 8-9 (2-7), while at No.3, sophomore Tomas Patino and freshman Conner Edwards also lost a tie-breaker 8-9 (5-7).

In singles play, Fleming, Patino and Alawadhi won. Fleming beat Hamish Weerasinghe 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 at the No.1 spot, and Patino won the No.2 match with 6-4, 6-2. At No.3, Alwadhi won against Ashton Kalhorn 6-3, 6-7 (1-7), 10-2.

The Roos lost At the No. 4, 5 and 6 spots.

The blue & gold will host William Jewell on Wednesday evening at the Plaza Tennis Center. The Roos will face South Dakota State on Thursdaybefore facing Oral Roberts on Friday in the last home regular-season match of the season.
