Looking for an on campus job? How about a scholarship? UMKC Campus Ambassadors is hiring for the 2018-2019 school year

This position offers a 1,000$ scholarship, flexible working hours, and a chance to give campus tours to incoming students. Students who are a part of the campus ambassador team will experience firsthand what it’s like to welcome potential UMKC Roos to campus for the first time.

One of the most important factors in being an ambassador is to have strong interpersonal communication skills.

The minimum requirement for the campus ambassador position is to have a completion of your first semester at UMKC as an undergraduate student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. You must be available for four two-hour tour shifts a week, as well as one community service requirement.

Ambassadors are expected to work on campus events such as UMKC Preview Days, Youth Days, Experience UMKC, and Fall and Spring commencements.

Students in this position will be working alongside UMKC Recruiters, and members of the Office of Admissions.

Ambassadors of the university also collaborate with academic departments, university resources, and community organizations.

Ambassadors work at the UMKC Welcome Center, which is located on the main entrance level of the Atterbury Student Success Center, next to the UMKC Cafeteria.

“You will make long lasting friendships,” says another member of the Campus Ambassador Leadership Team, David Matthews.

UMKC Campus Ambassadors must have the ability to positively represent the campus, and have a genuine love for UMKC.
