Old buttons lying around the house can be quickly repurposed for a jewelry project. In three simple steps, you can take any plastic or wooden button and turn it into a vintage staple or a quirky conversation piece. Here’s how.
- First, gather any buttons you like, some adjustable size ring bases, super glue and a pair of needle nose pliers.
- Next, use the pliers to remove any extra metalwork on the back of your buttons. The goal is to make the buttons as flat as possible. If using pliers doesn’t work, try a hammer.
- Super glue the flat part of the ring to the back of a button and let dry.
Then, voila – a new piece of jewelry added to your collection.
