Tai Chi for Health


Tai Chi is a slow-motion, low-impact exercise that promotes physical and mental health and relaxation. The gentle form of exercise is often described as “Meditation in Motion.” Tai Chi helps improve flexibility, balance, coordination and muscle strength, increase heart/lung activity, align posture and integrate the mind and body.

Tai Chi classes are open for registration. The classes meet from noon to 12:50 p.m. on Mondays in room 306 of Grant Hall on the Volker Campus.

Class A: Feb. 3 – April 20
Class B: April 27 – July 20 (no class on May 25)
Class C: July 27 – Oct. 19 (no class on Sept. 7)
Class D: Oct. 26; Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Dec. 7 and 14

The cost for Class A, B and C is $55 per class (12 sessions). The cost for Class D is $40. Each session is worth 10 points toward the Wellness Incentive program (maximum of 100 points per cycle).
