Saint Luke’s LIFEWISE presents two summer LIFEWISE workshops.
Emotional Intelligence is scheduled from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 in the Plaza Room, Administrative Center on the Volker Campus; and from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 27 in Theater B of the School of Medicine on the Health Sciences Campus. Registration can be made online.
Ninety percent of reactions are emotional. And emotions respond 400 times faster than intellect. Research indicates that 80 to 90% of success at work and in life is related to emotional intelligence. This training includes an assessment, strategies and tools for increasing emotional intelligence with enhanced self-awareness and self-management.
The Mindful Choice: Move from Reaction to Intention is scheduled from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Aug. 6 in the Plaza Room, Administrative Center on the Volker Campus; and from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Aug. 21 in Theater B at the School of Medicine on the Health Science Campus. Registration can be made online.
Learn to use the principles of mindfulness in this workshop. You will identify opportunities to increase presence and awareness in how you live and work; practice replacement behaviors for your common triggers; and develop authenticity by comparing current behaviors to your desired way of being.
As a Healthy for Life sponsored workshop, eligible employees may earn 25 points for participation. There is a maximum of 100 points possible for this category. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for questions regarding the incentive program.
