Introduction to Data Analytics | February 29, 8 a.m. to noon
Data is everywhere. Understand how to harness it in order to drive informed decisions. Explore the seven-step process necessary to leveraging data analytics for strategic purposes.

Data Dashboards with Tableau | March 14, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tableau has become an essential tool for visualizing and communicating data analysis to end users. Data dashboards are tools to continually track an organization’s position in its environment. This course leverages Tableau to create functional, attractive and relevant dashboards as tools to communicate to internal and external stakeholders.

Python Boot Camp | March 28, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Python is a powerful open-source language that is a go-to tool in data science. A working understanding of Python is a highly sought-after skill in today’s data science job market. This Python Toolbox Workshop provides attendees with a non-technical introduction to Python applications for data cleaning, merging, visualizing and analyzing data. Leveraging Jupyter Notebooks, attendees will be empowered to answer the important questions for their organizations.

Data Analytics Primer | April 11, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The velocity and volume of data in today’s workplace can be overwhelming. In this workshop, students will explore methods for understanding how to separate the signals from the noise. A gentle, intuitive introduction to statistics, the workshop illustrates the power of models to derive knowledge from data.

R for Data Analytics | April 25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open-source and up-to-date, R is the programming language for data analytics. This boot camp introduces students to R through a process of guided examples, ensuring a broad understanding of how it can easily address your analytical needs.

SQL for Data Analytics | May 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Storing, cataloging, and retrieving data has become essential in today’s data-rich environment. SQL has been the workhorse of database management for a generation and remains a bedrock tool for modern data science. This workshop introduces students to the SQL environment, principles of database management and basic tools for working with databases.

Data Visualization | May 23, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Communicating knowledge has become paramount as consumers, clients and citizens wade through data. Visualization is the science of communicating inference from data analysis concisely and accurately. This workshop leverages Tableau as a tool for creating visually appealing and persuasive data stories.

Spatial Data Analysis | June 6, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location matters in so much of what we do: logistics, supply chains, marketing analytics all depend on a sense of location. In this workshop, students will learn intuitive tools for analyzing how geography impacts consumer and citizen behavior.
