With its partners and programs, United Way of Greater Kansas City works to provide health services, educate children and create financial stability for families in the Kansas City metro area. For example, United Way’s LAUNCH is a cost-sharing college and career program for students from low-income households, many of who are first-generation college attendees who have a strong work ethic. The UMKC campaign also gives to Community Health Charities, connecting more than 2,000 health charities across the United States with employees.

The co-chairs of this year’s campaign are Barbara Glesner-Fines, dean of the School of Law, and Brandon Martin, director of Kansas City Athletics.
