The Second Annual UMKC Faculty Research Symposium will held on Friday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. in the UMKC Student Union, 5100 Cherry St., Kansas City, Mo.
The event, hosted by Dr. Lawrence Dreyfus, Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development and the Office of Research Services, is designed to facilitate awareness of the research, scholarship and creative activities within the UMKC community. The goal for this annual event is to foster deeper research engagement and collaboration among faculty from all across UMKC.
Dr. Robert Paul, Director of the Missouri Institute for Mental Health, will deliver the keynote address entitled “Critical determinants of subcortical brain integrity: New insights from the fields of early life stress and HIV.” Faculty poster sessions will follow the keynote address as will a light lunch and social hour for participants and attendees.
