The University of Kansas School of Medicine’s Office of Student Engagement offers health career pipeline programs (“Pre-College Programs”) that serve middle and high school students in the Kansas City, Kansas area. The various Pre-College Programs offered provide hands-on healthcare learning through mentoring, small-group labs, exploration of technology, integrated real world problem solution building, one-on-one internships, research and more.  

The Pre-College Programs team is partnering with UERC to evaluate these programs and plan a long-term study of their benefits. The evaluation focuses on understanding how these programs impact students as well as creating systems to track and report alumni outcomes.
