Four A&S Students Vie for Fulbright Awards

These four students are among those being considered nationally for Student Fulbright Awards:

• Lynn Marie Alexander (History–Graduate Student)
• Nicole English (Sociology–Graduate Student)
• Rachel Waldemar (Biology, Chemistry, Spanish–Undergraduate)
• Maria Iliakova (Biology, Spanish, Chemistry– Undergraduate)

English Department News

Many faculty and graduate students in English also had productive summers as noted in their Fall 2009 newsletter.

Among them are: Virginia Blanton whose book, Signs of Devotion, received a special award and Patrick Dobson whose first book Seldom Seen was published by the University of Nebraska.
