Call for Nominations


The UMKC Staff Council is in the process of filling seats for those members whose terms expire on May 31, 2016.

If you know outstanding staff members who you feel would represent the staff well, please nominate them.  If you feel that you would be a good representative, we encourage you to nominate yourself.

We’d also like to encourage ALL staff to participate in Staff Council – including system employees and research staff that may have academic appointments.  We are looking for staff members who wish to make a difference at UMKC.

Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 by 12:00pm.

Once the nominations have been received, we will contact each nominee and ask them to submit a platform (reasons) why they want to serve on the UMKC Staff Council.  On March 21th, we will send out each nominee’s platform and ask that all staff vote on who they feel should represent them on the Staff Council.

The term of office a two-year term, from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2018.

February 29, 2016 Nominations for Staff Council open
March 9, 2016 Deadline for nominations
March 10-11, 2016 Notify nominees, giving them an opportunity to accept or reject

Send nominees an email ballot information form to complete, should they accept nomination.

March 16, 2016 Deadline for ballot information form submission
March 21-March 25 2016 Regular voting by electronic ballot

Hardcopy provided for those that cannot vote via the electronic balloting system.
