The Literacy Lab is a non-profit organization that places rigorously-trained, full-time early literacy tutors in high-need schools to provide children from age 3 to grade 3 with daily, evidence-based literacy interventions. We are hiring full-time literacy tutors for the 2016-17 year to serve for an 11-month term in high-need elementary schools throughout Kansas City, MO, the DC metro area, Richmond, VA, and Baltimore, MD. Our tutors are supported by a multi-tiered coaching structure and receive ongoing professional development. In return for their service, tutors receive a modest living stipend, a $5,775 education award, and basic health coverage.
