Greetings!
My name is Dylan Burd and I am a Graduate Assistant with the Office of Student Involvement for LGBTQIA Programs & Services. We would like to invite you and your office/staff/department colleagues and friends to join us for an evening of fun and prizes, this Thursday (tomorrow), February 4th, at 7pm for a Charity Bingo fundraising event, hosted at Hamburger Mary’s (3700 Broadway Blvd #110, Kansas City, MO 64111). While our office and university does as much as it can to provide and assist students with many outstanding programs, events, and educational opportunities on campus, there are not always enough funds to send our students to many of the exceptional conferences that take place throughout the country and region. One of these conferences is the MBLGTACC (Midwest Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Ally College Conference) that will be taking place this year at Purdue University, and was hosted two years ago by UMKC. This conference provides many educational workshops and inspirational speakers and entertainers for LGBTQIA students, in order to develop their personal and professional skills in higher education. In order to raise funds to send our students to this conference, we have partnered with Hamburger Mary’s to host this charity bingo night for us.
