We are looking for people who are interested in volunteering with Jumpstart- Kansas City! I am J’Nauda Perkins , the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2014-2015 school year. BLUFORD LIBRARY BI-WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
WHAT: 2-3 volunteers are needed to lead Jumpstart activities at Bluford Library on Sunday afternoons (bi-weekly) during Spring Semester. Volunteers will read to children at the library and assist them with related projects and games.
WHEN: Sunday afternoons every other week from 2-4pm (see below for dates).
• Sunday June 7th from 2-4pm
• Sunday, June 21st from 2-4pm
• Sunday, June 28th from 2-4pm
• Sunday, July 12th from 2-4pm
• Sunday, July 26th from 2-4pm

PARKING: There is a parking lot adjacent to the library.
HOW TO SIGN UP: Email Ju’Nauda at perkins_jnada@yahoo.com or jumpstart@umkc.edu at least 5 days prior to your selected date(s) with Your first name, last name, aliases/other names, and current zip code no later than 10 business days prior to the event date.
OTHER NOTES:
Only 2-3 CMs and volunteers may sign up for each date; spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
This event is open to friends and family who are OVER 18 YEARS OLD and who REGISTER IN ADVANCE. Since this event involves children, we will have to complete a National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) check for any non-Corps Member volunteers (an additional check may be necessary as well). see below for other important considerations. Thank you for your assistance in helping us to comply with our child protection regulations.
o Volunteers who serve more than one shift or who have already volunteered with Jumpstart before may need to complete an additional background check, requiring them to complete an authorization form.
o If any required information/form is not received according to the communicated deadline, we will not be able to complete timely screening and the volunteer will NOT be eligible to serve at the selected event.
o Any volunteers who do not pass a required background check prior to the event date will not be eligible to serve.
o Any volunteer who does not register or provide the appropriate information in advance WILL BE TURNED AWAY from the event.
