The UMKC Sociology Club is sponsoring a free showing of “The Crisis in Higher Education – An Overview: Ivory Tower”, followed by a discussion panel featuring Dr. Shannon Jackson and Dr. Ricardo Marte. “The rise in U.S. college tuition is unsustainable. That’s the argument of a new television documentary, “Ivory Tower,” which tackles growing worries and critique over college costs and student debt. ” (PBS NewsHour, June 2014) Refreshments will be provided.
