Attendee Testimonials: October 2019
“I really enjoyed the ability to engage in discussion with other SI program leaders. I feel like I gained just as much from the discussion as I did from the actual training. I also thought the learning activities were engaging and facilitated my understanding of the training objectives.”
“The hands-on brainstorming and planning were very useful, as well as the nicely organized manual that will continue to be a resource.”
“Being a complete novice to SI, directly learning about SI techniques by ‘doing’ them was extremely useful.”
“Getting the time to bounce ideas off other participants who are in similar situations has been the most helpful. I appreciate that our facilitators are supportive and not rigid while we talk through our thoughts and ideas.”
“It is the definitive training for SI. In addition to learning about SI, this training was an excellent boot camp on adult pedagogy and truly modeled the strategies and tools of SI while teaching us about it.”
“I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to attend the workshop. It has really energized me to utilize Supplemental Instruction at our school. I am also very thankful to have the continued support available from the center for any future questions. The mood was very lighthearted and comfortable. I was also grateful for the opportunity to meet such wonderful people from the other schools.”
