ICLCA Post-Conference Advanced SI Supervisor Training (in-person)

This in-person session of Advanced SI Supervisor Training is offered in partnership with ICLCA (International College Learning Center Association) at their September 2024 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.

  • Friday, September 27, 2024, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM MDT

This in-person session of Advanced SI Supervisor Training is an opportunity for experienced SI professionals to sharpen their skills and share their knowledge in an environment of reflection, exploration, collaboration, and ideation. Participants must be current SI professionals who have previously completed SI Supervisor Training. Topics addressed will include leadership development through one’s personal values and mission; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and SI Leader development including group dynamics and coaching/feedback skills. Additionally, there will be opportunities for participants to address specific challenges they face and to discuss opportunities for further study within their own program. All participants are requested to come prepared to deliver a 10-minute professional development presentation representing an area of expertise or growth applicable to other program leaders.

Completion of the Advanced SI Supervisor Workshop is a prerequisite for earning the credential of International SI Associate.

Credentialed International SI Associates will have the opportunity to:

  • Support SI supervisor material development and innovation
  • Conduct webinars hosted by the ICSI
  • Participation in conference planning
  • Support ICSI regional and online trainings
  • Participation in ICSI research projects

Additional International SI Associates requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years as an SI Supervisor/Program Leader
  • Brief program review and/or interview with International Center staff to ensure sufficient knowledge and execution of ICSI standards
  • Attendance at quarterly meetings/professional development sessions

Advanced SI Supervisor Workshop (online)

Given the nature of this workshop, some prior work will be required.

Advanced SI Leader Workshop (online)

This online interactive workshop is designed to develop the leadership skills of experienced SI Leaders and Peer Mentors to allow them to easily step up into additional leaderships roles that will enhance their SI programs as well as their skills as future leaders in any field.

Completion of the Advanced SI Leader Workshop is a prerequisite for becoming a member of the International SI Leader Council. Due to the demand that is expected and the desire to distribute this opportunity across regions, a maximum of two individuals per institution may attend this workshop.

International SI Leader Council Members will have the opportunity to:

  • Support SI Leader material development and innovation
  • Participation in SI Leader Summit planning
  • Support ICSI regional and online trainings
  • Participation in ICSI research projects

Additional Council Member requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year as an SI Leader
  • Minimum of 1 term in an SI Mentorship role
  • Attendance at quarterly meetings/professional development sessions
  • Nomination from current SI team (supervisor and at least two colleagues)
No current dates.
