At the Community of Scholars event on May 8, 2014, the School of Graduate Studies celebrated the awards of numerous fellowships and grants, as well as the winners of the research poster contest and research paper symposium from earlier that day. Those awards, which total more than $343,000, include:
– The first Ronald A. MacQuarrie Graduate Fellowship – 1 award, $1,000
– The Opportunity Fellowships – 4 awards, $40,000
– The Preparing Future Faculty Scholar Awards – 6 awards, $7,200
– The Arthur Mag Graduate Fellowships – 2 awards, $20,000
– The SGS Research Grants – 40 awards, $259,400
– The IDSC Travel Grants – 62 grants, $9,300
– Superior GTAs – 6 awards, $900
– Symposium winners – 3 winners, $1,500
– Poster presentation winners – 4 winners, $2,000
– Distinguished Master’s Thesis – 1 winner, $500
– Outstanding Dissertation – 2 winners, $1,500
