Problem Solving at All Three Tiers

Why is it that some reading interventions work for some children, but not for others? One reason why is that the intervention did not address the student’s strengths and needs. This interactive session will demonstrate a skill-by-treatment interaction framework to identify areas of strength and continue support for classrooms, small groups, and individual students with intensive needs, and will use an MTSS model as the basis for the decision-making. Upon completion of the session, participants will be able to:
1. Use data to identify classwide problems in reading.
2. Implement evidence-based interventions to address classwide problems in reading and substantially reduce the number of students who
need additional support.
3. Use data to identify effective tier 2 small-group reading interventions.
4. Intensify interventions at tier 3 with a research-based framework to increase the likelihood of success for students with the most
intensive needs.

Deadline for registration is July 1st. 48-hour cancellation is required.
