Content Word Attack: Advanced Phonics in Grades 4-12
Ever wonder how to make vocabulary instruction more intentional and powerful? Join us in this deep dive for all educators grades 4-12 in all content areas as we explore the way we discover word origins as well as how we can make paths in our brains to decode multi-syllable words. By analyzing words, we know that our understanding will expand. After we deepen our own knowledge of words, we will plan how this can be applied in a classroom setting. Practical and easy-to-implement ideas will be shared and considered. Based on research, we know that through this deep learning of vocabulary, our ability to understand and apply the true meaning of words will be realized.
