Tamara Moore-Callahan has over thirty-five years of experience in education. During her tenure as a PreK-12 educator, Tamara worked in the following capacities: Speech/Language Therapist, Special Education Teacher, Inclusion Teacher, Special Education Liaison, Assistant Principal, and Director of Special Education. After spending 27 years in the PreK-12 configuration, Tamara joined the higher education ranks where she served in the positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor for the School of Education at Wayland Baptist University. Tamara earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Northwest Missouri State University, M.Ed. in Education Administration from Eastern New Mexico University, M. Ed. in Education Literacy from Wayland Baptist University, and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from New Mexico State University. Her interest and connection to individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds fuels her passion for equity and social justice within the educational environment. Tamara is excited to be a consultant for of the KC-RPDC, supporting, mentoring, and empowering school leaders in the Kansas City region.
