Dr. Annette Shelton joined the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center as a School-wide Positive Support Consultant after serving in public education for 29 years. She spent thirteen years as an elementary teacher followed by sixteen as a middle school assistant principal and elementary principal. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from William Jewell College, her master’s degree in Education from Baker University, and her specialist and doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Woods University. Annette has led professional development opportunities and coached teachers in the North Kansas City, Kearney, and Excelsior Springs School Districts. Meeting the needs of all students and teachers is the driving force behind her passion when working with districts. Annette enjoys spending time with family, reading, and attending concerts or sporting events in her free time.
