Megan has a variety of educational experience spanning over the past 25 years.  She has taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels with an emphasis in reading and literacy.  During her last 10 years in public education, Megan was an elementary administrator and enjoyed working with teachers to see growth in areas such as classroom management, community building, and lesson design.  She hopes that all of these experiences will help her facilitate and guide Missouri teachers through their first years in education and beyond.  Mrs. Owens holds a specialist and master’s degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from William Jewell College, plus certification in 9-12 English.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and hanging out with her fur babies.
