Post Secondary Readiness

Email

Dr. Anderson primarily focuses on programming and support that helps buildings and districts in preparing students for what’s next in their Career and Academic Plans.  This support includes specialized work regarding postsecondary readiness exams (ACT, PSAT, SAT) with classroom teachers and ACT prep coaches.  This work ranges from targeted subject-specific testing content, format, and structure that can be applied to the regular classroom or in the development of an in-school or out-of-school ACT/PSAT/SAT prep courses.

Dr. Anderson has a track record of helping buildings and districts increase student access to challenging coursework that prepares them for what comes next after high school graduation.  He helps break down gatekeeping policies and gatekeepers that have traditionally kept underserved students from accessing Dual Credit, AP, and/or IB coursework.  He can also support your building or district in establishing partnerships with local postsecondary institutions.  He has experience starting multiple versions of an Early College program from those that are academic focused to those that are skilled-trade focus such as the Kansas City Career Construction Academy.

Finally, Dr. Anderson is adept at supporting your building or district with ensuring students are able identify their areas of interest, skills, and areas of agility that can help them design their career plans in a meaningful way.  He firmly believes this process is so much more than taking a couple of assessments and making a four or six year plan.  While this can be is a fine first step, the meaningful work comes next with ensuring we are providing each student with access to programming that will truly help them reach their goals.
