Deann Clawson joined the team at the KCRPDC in July 2022 as a math consultant. Dr. Clawson’s experience includes 31 years of Missouri public school service with seventeen years teaching middle and high school mathematics, three years as a math coach, and eleven years as the director of curriculum and assessment. She received her undergraduate degree in Math Education from Truman State University, her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Webster University and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.
Dr. Clawson brings a strong understanding of math and extensive pedagogical content knowledge. In addition, she has extensive experience providing professional development for teachers, instructional coaches and administrators and supporting the implementation of effective teaching practices. Deann is passionate about making math content accessible and enjoyable to every student. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
