Denise Cunningham serves as a School Wide Positive Behavior Supports consultant. She joins the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center PBIS team with over 25 years of experience in elementary education. Denise holds a Master of Science in Education degree in Reading and a Specialist in Education in Administration from Northwest Missouri State University. She began teaching in rural Vermont and then continued her career in the North Kansas City School District including roles as, K-5 Reading Specialist, Second grade classroom teacher, Teaching and Learning Coach, and an Assistant Principal. She has extensive experience in providing district and school professional development, curriculum writing, and instructional coaching.  Denise is passionate about learning and facilitating growth with all learners she teaches to ensure teacher and student success.
