Christi Rice joined the RPDC in 2020 as an SW-PBS consultant with 31 years of
experience in public elementary education. She has served as a building principal,
instructional coach, literacy coach and classroom teacher. As the Excelsior Springs
School District professional development chairperson, she coordinated and presented district in-service sessions. She has presented at the National Learning Forward Conference, as well as the Missouri PLC Conference and Missouri SW-PBS Summer Institute. She has experience as a curriculum leader; writing curriculum and assessments, developing and supporting tiered intervention supports for academic and behavior systems, and supporting the implementation of effective instructional strategies and data-driven decision making in the classroom. She has been an active member of Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals, participated in EdCamp KC, and served as a mentor to graduate students. She holds a Masters’ degree from Baker University and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
