Abby Seymour joined the RPDC in 2022 as a Literacy Coach, helping support teachers as they shift their practices to science-based reading instruction that helps all students learn to read.  Prior to joining the RPDC, Abby worked as a reading interventionist in the North Kansas City School District, where she taught for nearly ten years.  She has Master’s degrees in Teaching and Learning and in Literacy from Avila University in Kansas City.  Abby is passionate about collaborating with schools, leaders, and teachers to ensure that every single student becomes a skilled and confident reader and writer.  Outside of work, she enjoys reading, roller skating, crafting, and spending time with her husband and dog, Prune.
