Student Representative to UM Board of Curators Application

Applications are now available for the Student Representative to the University of Missouri Board of Curators.
The Student Representative to the University of Missouri Board of Curators is a prestigious position whereby one student is chosen every two years to present the interests of 65,000+ students that attend one of the four universities in the University of Missouri System.  A student from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) will have the honor of being the next Student Representative.  The position is open to undergraduate and graduate students at UMKC.  This position rotates every two years to a campus within the University of Missouri System and plays a crucial role in voicing students’ interests at the highest level of system governance. 
 
Ideal candidates for this position are students possessing strong communication skills and the ability to apply these skills in representing student interests to individuals, small and large groups, and public audiences in a variety of environments.  Professionalism, enthusiasm, dependability, flexibility, the ability and willingness to fulfill the considerable time commitment and travel requirements.

  • A honorarium in a sum equal to the cost of twelve undergraduate/ 6 graduate student credit hours per semester at the beginning of each semester of service as Student Representative.
