Student Organization Info

If you’re looking to get involved, there are student organizations ranging from academic to religious to interest groups! Most organizations advertise their events with flyers around campus, and all are open to any UMKC student. Check some out and make some new friends with the same interests as you!

For those involved in organization leadership, it is important that the correct forms get turned in on time so that your organization can remain “active” under student involvement. For spring semester, the procedure is fairly simple.

  • Turn in the officer listing form within the first 3 weeks of classes, or by January 28th. These forms can be scanned and e-mailed to Shelby Coxon, faxed to 816-235-5590, or dropped off at the Student Involvement office.
  •  If your organization attended the funding workshops in the fall semester, you do not need to do anything else for spring semester.
  • If you did not attend the workshops in the fall, then you must attend this semester. Call the Office of Student Involvement (816-235-1407) to sign up. The dates are:
    • Tuesday, January 18th – 12:00 to 1:00 pm – Volker Campus Location TBA
    • Wednesday, January 19th – 5:30 to 6:30 pm – Hospital Hill Location TBA
    • Monday, January 24th – 4:00 – 5:00 pm – Volker Campus Location TBA

If you have any other questions, stop by the Office of Student Involvement.
