Spotlight: Career Services
It’s never too early to start thinking about your career! Career Services provides major/career counseling, internship/ job search assistance and on-campus recruitment events. Our mission is to help students develop, evaluate and initiate career planning and professional development within a constantly changing work environment. In addition to providing individual appointments to discuss major/career plans, we also meet with students to review resumes and cover letters, conduct mock interviews, and help strategize job and internship search plans.
We encourage students to attend our Career Fairs, Etiquette Dinners, employer information sessions, and visit our satellite offices in the Bloch School of Business and Public Administration and the School of Computing and Engineering for walk-in advising.
Career Services also manages CareerExec. CareerExec is UMKC’s employment database and has hundreds of on-campus jobs, part-time jobs, internships, and full-time jobs. Go to www.career.umkc.edu to learn more!
