Conservatory Connections — Partnership with the Nelson Atkins Museum

A collaboration between the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, the Conservatory Connections program combines the visual and performing arts within the spaces of the museum to offer the public new art interactions.  Conservatory Connections performances are free.

Save these dates for the 2011-2012 season:

  • September 30, 2011. In the Bloch Lobby, featuring dance faculty Sabrina Madison Cannon in Ghostcatching, 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • February 24, 2012, In the Chinese Temple, featuring Composition faculty Chen Yi and UMKC Chinese women composers, 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • March 23, 2012, In the Egyptian, Greek and Roman Gallery, featuring musicology professor William Everett and vocal professor Dale Morehouse, 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • April 27, In the European Galleries, featuring vocal professor Vinson Cole, 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
