Electric vehicle ownership is on the rise in the area, and EVs now offer increased battery capacity and low maintenance costs. Charging stations are widely available in the metro, including on the UMKC campus. Quiet and fun to drive, EVs reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save owners almost $1000 a year on gas.
