This Fall 2012 Roo Career Network has a new feature available to students and alumni. The tool ‘Resume Builder’ provides content and style guidelines to help an individual create their professional resume. Students may log into their Roo Career Network account and click on the Documents tab > Resume Builder to get started. From there, you can select a template to customize and review several style options. The system will save your resume as a draft until you decide you are ready to submit it for review. Submitting your resume for review will signal to the Career Services team that you would like feedback about your resume and that you would like to use it to apply for internships and jobs.

Students and alumni may also do the following in Roo Career Network:

• Use UMKC username & password to log in
• Schedule a Career Services appointment
• Search for local, national and international full-time and part-time jobs and internships
• Set-up ‘Job Search Agents’
• Create resume in ‘Resume Builder’
• Upload resume in ‘My Documents’ for staff to review
• Opt-in to a ‘Resume Book’ for employers to view
• Utilize ‘Career Explorer’ tool for up-to-date employment trend information
• Sign-up for ‘On-campus Interviews’
• Click on ‘Events’ to learn more about our employer career fairs, information sessions and etiquette dinner
• Connect with your Facebook account
• Search employer profile information
