AIDS WALK KCThe AIDS Walk Kansas City 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 30 at Theis Park.  The walk is 3.4 miles and will take approximately 2.5 hours.  Registration opens at 8 a.m.; the program with music and fun begins at 9 a.m.; and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

UMKC is partnering with the AIDS Walk again this year.  The planning committee has adapted the route so that approximately one third of the walk will be on campus.

The route will hit our campus at the intersection of Volker and Rockhill, travel south on Cherry St. to 52nd St., over to Oak St. and 52nd St., and then north up to Theis Park.  The entire walk will take place on sidewalks, and no streets on campus will be closed.AIDS Walk 2016

More than 3,500 walkers are expected to participate in the free event.  There is no charge to walk.

Theis Park is located at the intersection of Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. and Oak St., east of the Plaza and south of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
