By , February 8, 2016 1:59 pm

UM Sysem MastheadOn Nov. 9, 2015, the UM Board of Curators announced a series of strategic initiatives to be implemented to address areas of diversity, equity and inclusion across the UM System. These initiatives included the appointment of a first-ever Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for the UM System (view position posting).

Over the past 90 days, a search committee representing system-wide constituents and chaired by Missouri University of Science and Technology Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader has evaluated and interviewed a robust pool of candidates.  From this collaborative process, three candidates have been identified as finalists in the search. Please click on the open forum links below for candidate bio information.

Each of the three finalists are scheduled for on-site visits in Columbia over the next two weeks. While in Columbia, the finalists will meet with a series of UM System and campus leaders, including TelePresence meetings with each campus, meetings with Board of Curators Chair Pam Henrickson, and Interim UM System President Michael Middleton. As a part of each candidate visit, we will hold a series of open forums for members of the university community to ask questions of, and provide feedback on, each of the candidates. The following are the times and dates of the open forums:

Participating in this process helps ensure that our entire organization is engaged in this important decision. If you are unable to attend, but would like to participate, each forum will be live video/audio streamed with a direct link made available on this webpage prior to each forum.  Interested parties may submit candidate questions prior to and during the forums to: UMHRCDOS@umsystem.edu.

Following each forum, an online feedback form for each candidate will be made available on the website. Individuals are encouraged to submit their feedback during this time.
