To celebrate African American History Month, the Counseling Center is hosting an African American History Month Knowledge Contest. Each Wednesday in February, a question or series of questions will be posted. The first person to correctly answer all of the questions will be declared the winner for that day and contacted so they can claim their prize. At the end of the month, all winners will be put into a drawing to win a grand prize. Visit the contest webpage for more information and to participate. UMKC Libraries is happy to announce the installation of Knowledge Imaging Center (KIC) scanning stations.
Using KIC scanners is easy. Capture digital images of research and study materials, then either email them to yourself or save them on a portable flash drive. Scanners can handle virtually any size book, magazine, journal, newspaper, photo or other material from postage stamp size up to 11 x 17 inches in black and white or full color. The images and even text from PDF files can then be pasted into reports or research papers.
