UMKC Office of the Provost celebrates promotion and tenure appointments

Twenty-four faculty members will be honored

The University of Missouri-Kansas City Office of the Provost – Academic Affairs will celebrate the promotion and tenure of 24 members of our faculty at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Pierson Auditorium. The event will honor and highlight each of the 2010 UMKC promotion and tenure faculty recipients.

The promotion and tenure process involves a lengthy and rigorous review of the performance of faculty members in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Each of the faculty members recognized in this promotion and tenure celebration has demonstrated to their peers and to the administration that they have met high standards for sustained contributions and outstanding performance.
