Students Celebrate At Culture Night 2015

Party highlights art, music, fashion, food, friendship

University of Missouri-Kansas City international students hosted a party to celebrate a vibrant and diverse campus at the 7th annual Culture Night.

More than 1,000 people enjoyed the art, music, fashion, food and friendship offered during Culture Night on March 13. The Talent Show competition featured performers from India, Saudi Arabia, Africa, Vietnam and Paraguay. Alheli Aranda, Paraguay, won the talent show contest. Winners of the food contest were Ashwini Gururaj, India, first place; and Hung Dao, Vietnam, second place.

Sponsors of Culture Night 2015 were Gurus Infotech Inc., Sahara, UMKC Bookstore, Bo Lings, Ruchi, Starbucks and Minsky’s. Festivities were hosted by the UMKC International Student Affairs Office and coordinated by the UMKC International Student Ambassadors.
