Saint Luke’s Research Led by Spertus Receives $3.5M Grant

Researchers at Saint Luke’s Mid-America Heart Institute have been awarded two grants totaling more than $3.5 million.

Funded through a provision of the Affordable Care Act, the grants will support studies that are designed to help patients make better decisions about their care.

John Spertus, clinical director of outcomes research at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute and professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, was awarded $1,725,651 along with Adnan Chhatriwalla, an interventional cardiologist at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute. Read more.
