Roo Walk Encourages Fitness, Fun

Annual event drew hundreds of participants

Faculty and staff broke away from their daily routines recently to participate in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s annual Roo Walk. The mile-long walk gave employees a chance to get some  exercise on a beautiful spring day, connect with others, enjoy healthy snacks and win wellness-related prizes.

This year’s Roo Walk took place June 12 on the Volker Campus and June 13 on the Hospital Hill campus. The goal of the Roo Walk is to encourage yearlong healthy habits. Get more information about UMKC walking routes, tips and maps here.
